Surrogacy In Florida

Understanding Current Law

Florida offers some of the most surrogacy friendly statutes in the United States regardless of marital status, sexual orientation, or national origin.

Our goal is keep Florida a surrogacy friendly state — as it has been for over 30 years — through advocacy and education to policymakers and the general public.

Key Considerations

We believe informed communities create better policy.

  • Who qualifies under existing surrogacy statutes
  • Legal requirements for surrogacy agreements
  • Parental rights protections
  • Areas where reform is needed

Why Reform Matters

Laws should ensure:

  • Equal access to surrogacy
  • Clear legal parentage protections
  • Ethical safeguards for surrogates
  • Protection of children born through assisted reproduction

What We Do

Legislative Advocacy

We work directly with lawmakers and stakeholders to promote thoughtful, ethical, and inclusive surrogacy legislation in Florida. Our advocacy includes:

  • Monitoring proposed legislation
  • Providing policy recommendations
  • Supporting family-centered legal reforms
  • Engaging in constructive dialogue with policymakers

Education and Public Awareness

  • Publish educational materials on surrogacy law
  • Host informational sessions and events
  • Provide clear explanations of current Florida statutes
  • Address misconceptions about surrogacy

Empowering Families

We equip intended parents, surrogates, and supporters with reliable information so they can navigate family-building confidently and responsibly.
